Service Technician (Chimney/Dryer Duct)

Join our family-owned company with 35+ years of trusted service in chimney, dryer duct, and air duct maintenance.

Purpose

To deliver the highest quality chimney and duct inspection, cleaning, and repair services to our customers using our proprietary procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Visit customer residences to clean or repair chimneys, fireplaces, gas inserts, gas fireplaces, wood burning stoves, and dryer ducts.
  • Thoroughly inspect, diagnose, clean, and repair all assigned systems.
  • Participate in our in-house training and apprenticeship program.
  • Advise customers on the condition of their chimneys and ducts, providing professional recommendations.

Compensation

We offer $25 per hour during your paid training period. Once trained, you’ll earn $31 per hour, plus performance-based bonuses. There’s no cap on your earnings—the more you produce, the more you earn. Healthcare benefits are also included

Work-Life Balance

Our purpose is to help keep chimneys and dryer ducts clean to reduce the risk of house fires to keep families safe and air quality pure. We are a small business and a tight knit team. The position is a full time, 40 hour position from Tuesday – Saturday or Monday – Friday. We have 5 paid holidays per year and vacation time is accrued after your first year.

Location & Commute

  • Training starts at our San Jose, Cambrian Area office.
  • After training, begin workdays from home with remote check-ins.
  • Weekly visits to the office to restock and submit reports.
  • Semi-weekly team meetings at the San Jose office.
  • Commute to assigned neighborhoods in a company-provided truck.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work on ladders under OSHA 220-pound limit (must weigh 200 pounds or less).
  • Comfortable working at heights (1-3 story roofs).
  • You must be drug free. Because we work at heights, we cannot hire anyone who cannot pass a standard pre-employment drug test. This includes cannabis or any such derivative..
  • You must have strong communication skills and be willing to interact with customers.
  • 5-day work week: Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday.
  • 3-week paid training at $25/hour; Technician role pays $31/hour plus bonuses based on ability.
